چکیده

In our previous paper, the logistic curve of removed number was derived from SIR and SEIR models in case small basic reproduction number. this we derive various curves removed, unsusceptible infectious numbers respectively SIS large numbers.

Some discrete-time SI, SIR, and SIS epidemic models.

Discrete-time models, or difference equations, of some well-known SI, SIR, and SIS epidemic models are considered. The discrete-time SI and SIR models give rise to systems of nonlinear difference equations that are similar in behavior to their continuous analogues under the natural restriction that solutions to the discrete-time models be positive. It is important that the entire system be cons...

SIS and SIR Epidemic Models Under Virtual Dispersal.

We develop a multi-group epidemic framework via virtual dispersal where the risk of infection is a function of the residence time and local environmental risk. This novel approach eliminates the need to define and measure contact rates that are used in the traditional multi-group epidemic models with heterogeneous mixing. We apply this approach to a general n-patch SIS model whose basic reprodu...

Constructions of Lyapunov Functions for Classic SIS, SIR and SIRS Epidemic models with Variable Population Size

In this work we deal with global stability properties of classic SIS, SIR and SIRS epidemic models with constant recruitment rate, mass action incidence and variable population size. The usual approach to determine global stability of equilibria is the direct Lyapunov method which requires the construction of a function with specific properties. In this work we construct different Lyapunov func...

Competitive Exclusion in Sis and Sir Epidemic Models with Total Cross Immunity and Density-dependent Host Mortality

We study SIR and SIS epidemic models with multiple pathogen strains. In our models we assume total cross immunity, standard incidence, and density-dependent host mortality. We derive conditions on the models parameters which guarantee competitive exclusion between the n strains. An example is given to show that if these conditions are not satisfied then coexistence between the strains is possib...

Disease Progress Curves in the Rice Blast Pathosystem Compared with the Logistic and Gompertz Models

Comparison of the linear coefficients from the regression analysis of 307 blast (Pyricularia grisea) disease progress curves of 42 rice genotypes, tested over a period of nine seasons, were made by fitting into the logistic and Gompertz models. The regression parameters Yintercept (a), regression coefficient (b), its standard error (SEb), coefficient of determination (R) and the time required f...
